INLD SEVAK App — how we collect, use, and protect your information

INLD SEVAK App ("we," "our," or "us") operates the INLD SEVAK App mobile application and related complaint-management services (the "App" / "Service"). This page explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information, including Google user data accessed through Google APIs.

1. Information We Collect

Phone Number

We collect your phone number solely for login and authentication using OTP (One-Time Password). It is not used for marketing.

Camera Access

We use the camera only so users can capture or upload images within the App (for example, profile photos, complaint supporting images, or QR scans).

Location Access

We use location permission to provide location-based features (such as nearby campaigns or services) and to improve user experience.

Complaint and Communication Data

When you raise or reply to a complaint, we may collect complaint details, messages, attachments, and related metadata needed to process and display your complaint.

Google User Data (Gmail API)

Where the Service is connected to a Google account authorized for complaint email handling, we access the following Google user data through Google APIs:

  • Gmail message metadata (for example: sender, recipients, subject, timestamps, thread/message IDs)
  • Gmail message content (email body / HTML)
  • Gmail attachments related to complaint threads
  • Basic Gmail profile information needed to operate the connected mailbox (for example, email address)

We do not request access to unrelated Gmail content outside complaint-related send/sync workflows.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Authenticate users and provide secure access to the App
  • Enable features that require camera or location access
  • Create, send, receive, sync, and display complaint-related email communications
  • Show complaint threads and attachments inside the App for citizens, officials, and administrators
  • Detect delivery failures / bounce notices related to complaint emails
  • Improve App functionality and user experience

Google user data accessed via Gmail APIs is used only to provide and improve these user-facing complaint communication features.

3. How Google User Data Is Shared / Transferred

We do not sell Google user data.

We do not transfer Google user data to third parties for advertising, data brokerage, or unrelated commercial purposes.

Google user data may be processed/stored using our service infrastructure only as needed to operate the Service, for example:

  • Application servers and databases used to store complaint threads synced from Gmail
  • Secure cloud object storage used to store complaint attachments retrieved from Gmail
  • Google's own Gmail / Google API services as part of normal API operation

Human access to this data is limited to authorized personnel who need it to operate or support the complaint workflow.

4. Data Security / Protection

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information and Google user data, including access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), and restricted credential storage for API access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Phone numbers and account data are retained while your account remains active and as needed for authentication/support.
  • Complaint records, synced email content, and attachments are retained for as long as needed to process the complaint, meet operational/legal requirements, and provide history in the App.
  • Users may request deletion of their account/personal data by contacting us at admin@bhoomia.com. Where technically feasible and legally permitted, we will delete or anonymize the requested data within a reasonable period.
  • Revoking Google authorization (or disconnecting the connected Gmail mailbox used by the Service) stops further Google API access for that authorization. Previously synced complaint data already stored in our systems is handled under the retention/deletion practices above.

6. Google API Services User Data Policy — Limited Use

INLD SEVAK's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

  • Raw and aggregated/anonymized Google user data is not used for any purpose other than providing or improving user-facing features of the Service.
  • Google user data is not sold or transferred to third parties for advertising, lending decisions, or data-broker purposes.
  • Google user data from Workspace/Gmail APIs is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI/ML models.
  • Google user data is not transferred to third-party AI/ML services for training their models.

Affirmative Limited Use statement:

"The use of raw or derived user data received from Google APIs / Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements."

7. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services that collect information for identification, analytics, or crash reporting. Examples include:

  • Google Play Services
  • Firebase Authentication & OTP Verification
  • Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics
  • Google Gmail API / Google OAuth (for complaint email send and sync)

Each of these services has its own privacy policy.

8. Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete it.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and users are encouraged to review it periodically.
